Fraud Management.

A recent joint report by the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) and PricewaterhouseCoopers estimates that fraud costs Australia about $3.5 billion a year. AIC statistics show that the incidence of fraud is increasing year by year. New corporate governance approaches include a number of new fraud related standards and frameworks.

This Workshop provides answers to the key questions facing managers, technical staff and business stakeholders responsible for fraud management. Based on AS 8001-2003 Corporate governance - Fraud and corruption control, the Workshop provides a practical, step-by-step approach to developing a Fraud Management Plan and implementing a Fraud Management Program.

Workshop format.

This workshop is highly interactive, combining presentations and exercises. Working in groups, participants will create specific deliverables covering aspects of fraud management. Comprehensive workbooks contain the presentation materials, supplementary notes and references to web-based resources including templates, sample documents, and checklists.

Ted is Director, Quality Assurance Services at Montrose Computer Services Pty Limited and a Director of Montrose Risk Management Services Pty Limited. Ted is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Industry and has over 30 years insurance industry experience. He is also current NSW and National Chairman of the Software Quality Association.
